Peter's primary areas of the practice of law are real estate purchases and sales, mortgage transactions, wills, powers of attorney, estate law, corporate law, commercial transactions, and collections.
Peter was raised in Toronto and attended St. Andrew's College in Aurora for his secondary school education. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Mount Allison University in 1966. He was awarded a Rockefeller Brothers Fellowship to attend Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, and during that year he met his wife, Mary Jane, a native of North Carolina.
Peter came to work in the Social Work department at the Mental Health Centre, Penetanguishene, in 1967. He obtained his masters degree in Social work from the University of Chicago in 1970, and returned to the Centre where he did community focused work, primarily individual and family counselling. In 1974, Peter entered Queens University to attend law school, graduating in 1977. He returned to the Midland/Penetanguishene area and joined Bob MacKinnon and Paul DeVillers as an articling student. He was called to the Bar in 1979, returning to the firm as an associate lawyer and becoming a partner in 1982. He was appointed as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in 2000, and sits as a Small Claims Court Judge on a regular basis.
Peter is active in the Midland and Penetanguishene communities, local charities and sports organizations. He is a member of the Penetanguishene Rotary Club and served as its President in 1988-89. In 1992, he was recognized with a Paul Harris Fellowship for his contribution to Rotary and his community.
Peter and his wife, Mary Jane, have two sons, Adam and Jonathan, and four grandchildren. Peter and Mary Jane live in Penetanguishene. Mary Jane is the former Director of Educational Services at the Mental Health Centre in Penetanguishene.

Bill practices law in the areas of real estate, corporate/commercial law, corporate reorganizations, wills and estates, estate planning, and has a special interest in the resolution of issues surrounding problem estates. He also participates in litigation files and Administrative Board hearings touching on his specialties.
Bill was a sole practitioner of law in Midland from 1982 until joining the partnership in 1989. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Ontario, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Simcoe County Law Association, and the Huronia Estate Planning Council. He is an active member in community related projects, such as the Penetanguishene Artistic Tribute to Canada's Millenium, participates in numerous seminars and talks on varied legal topics, and enjoys appearing as a columnist in newspapers, writing on legal issues. Bill was appointed to the Board of Monitors for the Minister of Correctional Services in 2001. This Board advises the Minister on the development of the Central North Correctional Centre at Penetanguishene, Ontario. He acts as an appointed Mediator in Civil Court actions, and as a Deputy Judge of the Superior Court of Justice, to which position he was appointed in the fall of the year 2000.
Bill was raised in Mississauga, Ontario . Prior to turning his interest to law, he was a professional musician having studied arranging and composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He attended the University of Toronto for two years prior to obtaining his Law Degree at the University of Western Ontario (LL.B. - 1980) and being called to the Bar in 1982. In 1997, he obtained certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation and Arbitration) from the University of Windsor.
In September of 2011, Bill was Certified by The Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Estates and Trusts Law.
Bill resides in Midland with his wife, Connie. They have two daughters, Heather and Mary. Connie gives private vocal and piano lessons. Along with his family, Bill keeps his hand in music and performs periodically at charitable functions.
